Now in its 22nd year, the Sanbuk Pumsil Festival has become a signature event for Yeoju. This year's edition carries the theme 'Sanbuk AI Kimjang Culture Festival.' Kimjang — the tradition of making kimchi together — is one of Korea's defining food cultures and a cherished way for family and neighbors to bond. Recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2013, kimjang embodies a spirit of making and sharing as a community. The Sanbuk AI Kimjang Culture Festival carries this tradition forward while adding technology into the mix, creating a new kind of kimjang festival that anyone can join easily and enjoyably. By bringing together fresh local produce with cutting-edge tech, the festival lets visitors experience the joy of kimjang while also discovering the value of local agriculture and a glimpse of farming's future.
