About
The 23rd Seosan Haemi Eupseong Festival is a history and culture festival held over three days, from October 9 to 11, 2026, at Haemi Eupseong Fortress in Seosan. This year's theme, 'HAEMI UNIVERSE: 1421, A Door in Time Opens,' brings the 600-year history and stories of Haemi Eupseong to life through a range of performances and hands-on programs. Highlights include the King Taejong's Military Parade, the Grand Fortress-Building Procession, a themed performance, a drone light show, a Black Eagles celebratory flight, and the Haemi The Classic concert. Visitors can also join in hands-on programs such as the RPG-style 'Haemi Return' game, along with traditional costume experiences, horseback riding, Korean traditional archery, and calligraphy. Throughout Haemi Eupseong, media façade projections and nighttime scenery light up the fortress, alongside programs connected to local culture, including performances by local artists and a traditional wedding ceremony.
