문화도시 전주에서 펼쳐지는 「2026 전주막걸리축제」는 전주 고유의 막걸리와 음식문화를 널리 알리고, 시민과 관광객이 함께 어우러져 전주의 맛과 정을 나누는 지역 대표 축제이다. 전주에서 생산한 막걸리의 시음·판매를 비롯해 삼천동 막걸리골목 상인회와 지역 음식점들이 참여하여 막걸리와 잘 어울리는 다채로운 안주와 전주의 특색 있는 먹거리를 선보인다. 또한 전통문화의 매력을 느낄 수 있는 기접놀이와 초청공연, 레트로 DJ PARTY 등 다양한 문화공연을 마련하고, 시민노래방과 막걸리 챌린지 등 누구나 참여할 수 있는 체험형 이벤트를 운영한다. 특히 지역 양조장과 음식점, 골목상권이 함께하는 축제를 통해 전주 막걸리의 우수성을 알리고 지역경제에 활력을 더하고자 한다. ‘가을 달빛 아래, 전주 막걸리에 취하다!’라는 슬로건 아래 전주의 맛과 멋, 흥겨운 공연과 참여 프로그램이 어우러져 시민과 관광객 모두에게 특별한 가을밤의 추억을 선사한다.
