About
The Jeonju International Picture Book Fair (JIPF) is Korea's leading picture book culture festival, connecting with the world through picture books that have emerged as a global content genre. Every year, this special festival lets visitors admire original artwork by renowned Korean and international illustrators up close, with a guest of honor country whose leading picture book artist gets special focus each edition. This 5th edition features Taiwanese artist Jimmy Liao and Korean artist Kim Dong-sung, running October 2 (Fri) to October 4 (Sun), 2026 at the Sori Arts Center exhibition hall under the theme "Picturing the Memories." During the festival, visitors can enjoy the opening ceremony, exhibitions and lectures by Korean and international authors, a book market with publishers, and an exhibition supporting emerging local artists. Various performances and hands-on programs using books, along with conferences, add to the festivities. The picture book original artwork exhibition continues afterward, running until October 25 (Sun), 2026.
