About
The Cheonan Heungtaryeong Dance Festival has a 23-year history since it first launched in 2003. It has been named a Culture Tourism Festival by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism eight times, and was chosen as a Regional Representative Performing Arts Festival for six years running. Since 2020 it has held the honorary status of Culture Tourism Festival, and it was rated the top-tier "Ilpum Festival" for two consecutive years in Chungcheongnam-do's "One City, One Specialty Festival" evaluation. The 2026 edition runs for five days, from October 1 to October 5, 2026. During the festival you can catch a national dance competition, a world dance competition, a street dance parade, and other dance programs. It's a global, downtown-style dance festival held around Cheonan Stadium and Cheonan Samgeori Park.
