Dongmul Happiness Festa

The 2026 Seoul Animal Happiness Festa marks Seoul Animal Protection Day and brings citizens together to share a culture where people and animals live side by side. It runs October 17–18 at the plaza in front of the Mulbit Stage in Yeouido Hangang Park, with programs designed for pet owners, non-pet owners, and families alike. Highlights include the "Animal Happiness Run," where dogs and their guardians walk along the Han River together; "Seol Chae-hyun's Pet Talk Live," a session on everyday concerns about living with pets; the "Dog's Second Life Story Contest," featuring heartwarming stories of adopted dogs and their owners; and the "Fimky Red Carpet Adoption," which introduces animals waiting for new families. There's also an "Animal Protection PLAY Zone" where visitors can learn about welfare issues facing wild animals, farm animals, lab animals, service animals, and exhibition animals through games and missions, plus behavior and health consultations, pet registration, a stray adoption campaign, an O/X quiz on pet culture, and photo zones. It's a hands-on, citizen-friendly festival that goes beyond simply loving animals, offering an easy and fun way to experience how people and animals can live happily together.
