About
Seongnam-dong was once a place where young people gathered around teahouses, blossoming into a hub of literature and romance after the area was designated an industrial zone. Now this same neighborhood hosts a special festival centered on coffee. The Seongnam-dong Coffee Festival is a citizen-driven cultural event for everyone who loves coffee. Held every autumn, it's planned and run jointly by local merchants and coffee industry workers, offering a rich lineup of programs including hand-drip demonstrations, latte art experiences, a brewing competition, and tasting events from various coffee brands. There's also a coffee performance competition featuring skilled baristas from across the country, along with experience booths, live performances, and a food market that families can enjoy together — making it an open festival for people of all ages.
