Held around Donggwangjang square and the Daedongcheon stream area behind Daejeon Station, a major transportation hub, the Daejeon Dong-gu Dongnak Festival is a signature cultural tourism festival where visitors can soak up the feel of autumn where the city and nature meet. It's packed with rich content, from world food at unique themed booths to game zones where people of all ages can join in. In particular, the "Bookcnic" (book plus picnic) set against the natural backdrop of Daedongcheon stream offers a relaxed, romantic escape in the heart of the city, while a bakery competition showing off participants' creativity and skill, along with a live cooking show featuring professional chefs, add a special culinary experience to the festival. Blending local tourism spots like the Gwansachon residential village and Sojedong Café Street with nature and culture, this festival lets you fully feel the unique charm and spirit of Daejeon's Dong-gu district.
