About
The Unjeong Lake Park Fireworks Festival began in 2017 as a grassroots event started by local residents, and has lit up Paju's autumn nights every year since, except during the COVID-19 pandemic, making it a signature local festival. Now in its 8th year in 2026, this year's theme is "Light, Again," and the festival takes place on October 31 around Unjeong Lake Park. On the day of the event, street performances and experience booths run from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., followed by a lighting ceremony and fireworks show starting at 7:30 p.m. Alongside the fireworks, a special firebird display will be staged over the Sori Stream. From the festival day through December 31, a light garden will also be open, presenting illuminated scenery from autumn through the end of the year. The Unjeong Lake Park Fireworks Festival is hosted by Paju City and organized by the Paju Cultural Foundation.
