About

Held since 2013 in honor of King Sejong's achievement in creating Hangeul, the festival was renamed from 'Sejong Festival' to 'Sejong Hangeul Festival' in 2025. Through performances, exhibitions, and hands-on programs that give the beauty and creativity of Hangeul a modern twist, it's designed to be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of generation or nationality. The festival brings together the passion of artists, the smiles of local citizens, and the excitement of visitors, offering all kinds of content where Hangeul becomes art and play. Blending tradition with modernity, it has grown into Sejong City's own distinctive cultural tourism festival, letting visitors experience the charm of Hangeul and the spirit of King Sejong in a park in the middle of the city.
